Fashion became the focus.

In partnership with King of Style and the Michael Jackson Estate, POPUP produced a live-taping and creator experience at the New York EDITION. The launch explored Michael Jackson’s influence on fashion through a roundtable and interactive environment.

A platform brought into the room.

The discussion brought together people connected to the artist’s creative legacy, including Michael Bush, John Branca, June Ambrose, Rushka Bergman and Prince Jackson. Around the conversation, guests explored fashion references, a digital presentation of Michael Bush’s King of Style book and audiovisual installations.

A custom performance setting invited guests to recreate dance moments, while a content booth and styling stations translated familiar visual references into participatory experiences. POPUP connected the environment, event production and content opportunities.

An archive people could engage with.

The event gave the platform a physical introduction. Conversation, objects and participation offered different ways to explore the relationship between music, image and fashion.
