Traplord Home: giving artist homeware a lived-in setting

A$AP Ferg in the Traplord Home setting · Harlem, June 2017.

A$AP Ferg Harlem, New York

An artist’s world becomes a place to discover.

An apartment-inspired Harlem shop introduced Traplord Home: bedding, robes and home accessories placed inside A$AP Ferg’s world. The Pop Up Team’s earlier work through Fancy.com, before POPUP.

The opportunity

The brief.

Introduce an artist’s move into homeware through a place that made the collection feel personal, connected to his identity and rooted in Harlem.

POPUP’s role

The work behind the experience.

Traplord Home is part of The Pop Up Team’s earlier work through Fancy.com. The project connects artist retail, lifestyle product presentation and a launch gathering.

Give the collection a lived-in context.

Traplord bedding and cushions dressed the bedroom setting, bringing Ferg’s visual identity into a familiar domestic scene. The products shaped the place visitors had come to explore.

Build a world around the product.

Living-room details, objects and a television carried the home idea beyond a single display. The shop connected the collection with a fuller expression of the artist’s taste and personality.

What it made possible

What the experience brought to life.

An artist’s world became a shoppable home.
