Craft informed the retail experience.
For a Father’s Day campaign at Roosevelt Field Mall on Long Island, POPUP designed and built a custom Kamikoto kiosk that reflected the care and presentation of the knives themselves.
From material research to the mall floor.
The design process explored Japanese knife-making traditions, wood grain, materials, angles and construction techniques. Those references informed a center-court environment with product presentation at its heart.
POPUP connected the custom fabrication with the launch and operation of the temporary retail experience, giving shoppers an opportunity to explore the products and speak with the brand in person.
A digital brand became tangible.
The kiosk brought product discovery into an everyday shopping destination. Materials, display and direct interaction helped communicate the brand’s approach to craft beyond the screen.
