Reasonable Doubt: connecting an album anniversary with retail

Project location: SoHo, New York · Project context: 2016 · Prepared by POPUP from the project archive in October 2026.

A listening room and Fourth of November retail brought Reasonable Doubt's anniversary into SoHo. The Pop Up Team delivered the design, build and operation through Fancy.com before POPUP.

How can an anniversary pop-up join exhibition and product discovery?

An anniversary has more meaning when fans can enter its world and take home something created for the occasion.

Make Fourth of November the retail anchor, then surround it with listening-room detail and collaborations that give Reasonable Doubt a physical home.

Make the album’s world a place to visit

The anniversary store brought exhibition and retail together. A listening-room installation surrounded visitors with records, equipment and memorabilia, giving the music a physical setting within the shop.

Give the anniversary a retail center

Fourth of November anchored the pop-up, connecting Kareem “Biggs” Burke’s fashion world with the album’s legacy. Collaborations, including ISHU, introduced limited-edition anniversary pieces alongside the exhibition.

Bring the community through the door

The opening transformed the finished store into a gathering place. The Pop Up Team delivered the design, build and retail operation through Fancy.com, connecting the exhibition, product and guest experience.

The planning lesson

Give the anniversary a retail anchor with a clear relationship to the story. Surround it with objects and listening details that reward fan knowledge. Collaboration credits should explain who created the products and who delivered the physical experience.

Who delivered the experience

The Pop Up Team designed, built and operated the pop-up through Fancy.com. Fourth of November formed its retail core, with partners including ISHU contributing limited-edition anniversary pieces.
