The opportunity
Put Atlanta’s contribution at the center.
Celebrate Atlanta’s contribution to hip-hop through an experience grounded in the people who shaped it.
The 50th anniversary of hip-hop became a chance to celebrate Atlanta’s own contribution. Curated exhibits by Dallas Austin and Jermaine Dupri connected the anniversary to the artists, objects and stories that shaped the city’s sound.
Our role
POPUP created the experience in partnership with Dallas Austin and Jermaine Dupri, bringing their cultural perspective into the exhibition and its live setting. Memorabilia, storytelling and an opening event connected visitors with Atlanta’s place in hip-hop history.
