Mobile Brand Activations

MOBILE EXPERIENCES

Take the brand where the audience is.

A mobile activation can turn an everyday route into a first encounter with a brand. The vehicle gets noticed. The experience gives people a reason to stop.

POPUP produces mobile brand experiences that connect the campaign idea with the realities of a moving operation. Sampling, product discovery and fan experiences each need their own invitation, route and team. We help bring those pieces together.

Plan the stop, not just the vehicle.

The visitor sees a single encounter. Behind it are decisions about locations, access, setup, staffing, stock and movement between stops. We plan the experience at street level: where people approach, how the interaction works, where the queue sits and how the team resets for the next location.

A branded vehicle is part of that plan. So are the local coordination and operating details that let the experience work in its intended setting. Site suitability and permissions need to be assessed for each location.

A simple product invitation can travel.

CHAGEE: a first taste ahead of a store opening

CHAGEE’s Los Angeles tea truck introduced Jasmine BOYA milk tea through sampling and conversation, with app sign-up connected to the guest journey. The route brought the experience into beach, university and neighborhood settings ahead of the store opening.

Commissioned by Velvet Co PR, POPUP delivered the branded vehicle, location coordination, staffing, guest flow and day-to-day tour logistics. The client retained responsibility for tea supply, original brand assets, PR, social media and app/data management.

Build an operation around the idea.

Depending on the project, our scope can include mobile experience production, vehicle branding and delivery, route and location coordination, staffing, guest flow and on-site logistics. We agree on product supply, storage, distribution and reporting responsibilities with the client and partners before launch.

For a sampling brief, we start with the product and the interaction. For a touring fan experience, we consider the audience’s relationship with the artist, the places the campaign will visit and how the experience stays coherent as it moves.

Make the next step clear.

A visitor should understand what comes after the encounter, whether that is finding a store, exploring a product or choosing to hear from the brand. That handoff should feel useful and natural. We plan it as part of the experience and agree who owns the digital destination and any data collection.

Questions to bring to the first conversation.

Is a mobile experience right for our launch?

It can be a useful format when the audience is spread across relevant locations or the campaign benefits from meeting people in their routine. We assess it against the objective, product needs and markets, alongside alternatives such as a fixed pop-up or an in-store activation.

Can the experience change between locations?

Yes, where the production and operating plan allow it. The guest invitation should stay recognizable while the setup responds to local access, audience and site conditions.

Explore our wider brand activation work or consider a destination pop-up.

What belongs in a sampling-tour brief?

Start with the product and the places you want to reach. A useful conversation covers the target audience, possible markets, campaign window and the interaction at each stop. You can bring a route or ask us to help assess one.

What does the product need on the road?

Consider storage, serving or demonstration requirements, replenishment and waste handling. A packaged sample and a freshly prepared drink ask different things of the vehicle and crew. These details should shape the production plan before the exterior is designed.

Who owns the handoff after sampling?

Agree who supplies the product, trains the team, manages any sign-up destination and receives reporting. If the campaign supports a store opening, make the location and next step easy for guests to find. Any collection of personal information needs an appropriate consent process.

When should locations be confirmed?

Assess access, operating conditions and permissions before treating a stop as booked. The route must work for the crew and vehicle as well as for the audience. Build the schedule around setup, service and movement between stops.

Tell us what you want to make happen.

Share the brand, the audience and the idea you are working toward. If the location, timing or scope is still taking shape, we can start there.
